HOT SPOT OF THE WEEK! Cotton Patch Cafe

This week’s KleinLiving Hot Spot is “Cotton Patch Cafe – (Spring, TX)”. It’s a Southern Restaurant; located at 2920 & Gosling.

Cotton Patch is a Texas-inspired, home-style restaurant that serves southern classics. They made food from scratch with no additives or preservatives. They are a Texan chain that has been in business for more than 32 years.

At Cotton Patch, they proud themselves on making sure the food tastes really good. And, I was happily surprised to realize how much care and flavor is in their food, it shows because the food tastes, as they like to say, “really, really good”.

Last week we ordered “Skillet Cornbread” as an appetizer. “Chicken Fried Chicken” and “True Texas Tenders” – Texas size with 8 tender.

The cornbread is a classic and it came warm. The savory/sweet taste was fulfilling. The chicken tenders had a barbecue sauce that was sweet, this is really a Texas size tender, they were huge, a little soft but really tasty; the sautéed mushrooms were a good complement. My favorite was the Chicken fried chicken, it was moist and crispy, the breading is flavorful and not dry. I love the squash casserole, very sweet and cheesy. I’m not a gravy person, but this gravy was very tasty and it add flavor and taste to the kitchen, really good
