This week’s KleinLiving Hot Spot is Tejas Chocolate + Barbecue. It’s a barbecue and craft chocolate place located in Old Town Tomball.

Tejas has been a popular place in Tomball for many years. We’ve been visiting them many times; we usually like to get brisket and sausages. This time we decided to go for lunch and try their specialty sandwiches, and they did not disappoint. The service was attentive, the food came out of the kitchen pretty quickly for the lunch hour, and the sandwiches were fantastic. You can’t leave without trying their signature carrot souffle and uniquely crafted chocolates.
I love this place so much because the meat is USDA Prime grade, and the softness and taste of the brisket are consistently good. We also love their smoked turkey and sausages, especially the hot sausage made with pepper jack cheese and roasted poblano peppers.
Last week we ordered a Carrot souffle, Bird & Bacon Sandwich, Brisket & Blues Sandwich, and Cherry Chocolate Pudding.
 
The carrot souffle is a must; I always order it. I love the sweetness and fluffiness, the mildness of the souffle goes very well with the barbecue.  The bird & Bacon sandwich was great; the turkey was smokey and juicy, and it went well with the bacon and avocado. The Brisket & Blues was my favorite this time. With shopped brisket and the strong flavor of blue cheese, you cannot stop eating.  The perfect close was the chocolate pudding with fresh whipped cream, coconut flakes, and cherry-infused chocolate…super delicious and not too sweet.
