This week’s KleinLiving Hot Spot is The Cookshack. It’s Texas HOT Chicken joint; located on Kuykendahl in Spring.
The Cookshack is a Texas restaurant with more than 8 locations. They recently opened the Spring location. They specialize in fried chicken and ribs with 5 different levels of spiciness for all Texan tastes. They also have great salads. All their chicken is all-natural and hormone-free.
Last week we ordered Texas Hot “Chicken Sandwich” with Dragon fries and “Quarter Rack & Chicken Tenders” with Mac’n Cheese and BBQ sauce. The Chicken sandwich was fantastic, crispy, spicy, and hot with the sweetness of cole slaw. The surprise came from the Dragon fries, they look like normal fries and when you put them in your mouth they explode with hotness. The ribs were tender, they slide off the bone with a great BBQ sauce, the chicken tenders were crispy, juicy, and not greasy, and combine with mac’n cheese hit a comfort food level.
