HOT SPOT OF THE WEEK! Primo’s Venezuelan Street Food

This week’s KleinLiving Hot Spot is Primo’s Venezuelan Street Food. It’s a Venezuelan fast food place; located on Louetta Rd, Spring.

They have a food truck in the food truck park on Gosling Rd. We have visited them there many times and we like their food. We heard they were opening a storefront on Louetta Rd, so we came to check it out.

I love this place because the food was made fresh to order and the service was top-notch. The front guy was very friendly, explaining the different items on the menu, and very attentive and cordial.

This week we ordered “Tequeños”, “Primo’s Patacon” and “Cachapa”.  Tequeños are Venezuelan cheese sticks wrapped in thin flour dough and deep fried. They were warm and crispy. Cachapa is a corn pancake filled with cheese, it was fresh and sweet. The best was the Patacon. It is a gluten-free plantain sandwich; filled with chicken, cheese, cole slaw, and several condiments. The plantain was yellow plantain which is ripe and sweet. The Patacon was big, very tasty, and fulfilling. I love all the flavors and sauces combined.

If you are curious about Venezuelan street food or would like to try a different kind of fast food, go and check out Primo’s.
