This week’s KleinLiving Hot Spot is BREAD Zeppelin. It’s a Sandwich shop & Salad Bar; located on City Place – Springwoods Village.
It’s been on my list of places to try for a while. I’m not a sandwich person; so I wasn’t particularly excited. .. until I got to try it. The zeppelin is unique; it is fresh, crunchy, and tasty. And, it is the perfect combination of a healthy salad, made of fresh ingredients with delicious dressing stuffed in a crusty artisan baguette.
There is a salad bar where you can choose from the Signature salads or create your own. Also, you can choose to have just the tossed salad with the dressing of your choice on a bowl or ask for the Zepellin. There are 20+ made from scratch dressings.
Last week we ordered 2 Bread Zeppelin with ice tea. The “Autumn Harvest Zeppelin” and “Buffalo Chicken Zeppelin”. The Autumn harvest is a combination of roasted turkey, grain medley, butternut squash, dried cranberries and apples, and kale with a grain mustard vinaigrette. I love the crunchiness of the bread without being too heavy on the dough, and the freshness of the salad. The Buffalo Chicken had buffalo chicken, tomatoes, lettuce, and cheddar cheese with a blue cheese dressing. The zeppelin has the size of a half baguette. The zeppelin was great and very satisfying. The server was good at explaining how it works and suggesting some dressings for our Zeppelins. They prepared them at the moment and toast the baguette and stuffed them.
