This week’s KleinLiving Hot Spot is “Tris The Woodlands”. It’s a Contemporary new American restaurant; located on Waterway at The Woodlands.
Tris is located where the Bistro by Hubble & Hudson was located. We were fans of Hubble & Hudson, we enjoyed the market, the Cooking School, and the Bistro. Their food and quality of ingredients were always excellent. That being said, this was our first time since the Bistro change its name to Tris. And, it did not disappoint
Tris is a beautiful contemporary restaurant with a very unique menu that combines traditional American fare with Japanese Wagyu beef and seafood. We went there for my birthday celebration, the food was delicious and with a very unique combination of flavors. And, the server was very attentive and made great suggestions.
To start, we ordered “Korean Butter Poached Crab” and “Spanish Octopus”. Then we had “Maine Lobster bisque”. As an entree, we had “Scallops with mushrooms tarts” and “Black Wagyu” The perfect closing was the “Bread Pudding with chocolate puffs”
They split the crab cakes in two, they were warm, soft, and very savory. Spanish Octopus had chickpeas, chili oil, and gremolata. Both were great and my favorite was the lobster bisque, very rich, creamy, and buttery. My husband enjoy his Wagyu, he ordered medium and it was very tender and flavorful with a side of ravioli. My scallops were superb, cooked to perfection and I love the mushroom tarts, bite-sized tarts with crispy puff pastry with a filling of mushrooms. Since it was my birthday, the server brought me a special dessert with bread pudding a few delicious chocolate puffs.
