This week’s KleinLiving Hot Spot is El Pibe Neveria /Ice cream. It’s an ice cream store; located on Cypress Creek Pkwy (F.M. 1960), close to I-45. It is a family-owned company, founded in Houston in 2002.
My son loves ice cream trucks, especially the ones that go around the neighborhood with their music box and different ice cream. He also loves the ice cream stickers that they use for the ice cream menu. A few years ago we were looking for some stickers for him and we found that “El Pibe” has popular ice cream and they sell stickers.; back then they have a small front store on a corner shopping center on Cypress Creek Pkwy (F.M. 1960) & Red Oak. Since then, they have moved to a larger store on Cypress Station.
The store sells traditional ice cream: Batman, Sonic, and Power Puff girls. They also sell their own “El Pibe brand” that includes more than 30 popsicles made with 100% natural ingredients and great quality. And, “Rich’s” is a special popsicle brand gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free, and dye-free. They sell individually and also have a price by the dozen.
For his birthday celebration, my son wanted to bring ice cream to share with his friends at school. We stopped at El Pibe and Alejandro was very attentive in helping us decide what we needed and offering a small cart to rent for the occasion. We ended up with 3 dozen of Rich’s popsicles and a dozen of regular popsicles.
All the kids had a blast sharing popsicles and they were really satisfied with the variety of flavors. My son felt really special by sharing popsicles with his school friends while celebrating his birthday
For people with food sensitivities, and especially with kids in the Autism population, Rich’s popsicles are a great healthy and natural alternative.
